Ed Sheeran – ‘Drunk’ + ‘Empire State Of Mind’ | Radio 1 Live Lounge

Today was Ed’s turn to visit Radio 1’s Live Lounge, in the build up to The Brit Awards next Tuesday. This was Ed’s first Live Lounge accompanied with a full band – and I think it really added to the whole performance, as these two live tracks were sublime – especially the ‘mystery cover’, which turned out to be Jay Z and Alicia Keys’ massive collaboration, ‘Empire State Of Mind’. Which, on face value, would seem like a really difficult track to properly cover, but as always Ed managed…

Ed Sheeran – Drunk (Live on Graham Norton) and ‘+’ Stops The Adele Party!

A typically great performance from the 4-time Brit nominee.

Also, in Ed news, ‘+’ went back in at number 1 in the album charts! Denying Adele’s ’21’ a 21st week at the number 1 spot on it’s release anniversary. Ed Sheeran, stopping an Adele party it seems! Will he do the same, by over-shadowing her at the BRITS?

Wait and see.

Ed Sheeran – Drunk (Official Video)

So, it’s finally here – the official video for ‘Drunk’!

All we’d really been told about this video was that it features cats. I mean, how can that not sound good? Ed and a load of cats! Anyway, after getting the required 100,000 clicks on the link Ed sent out, it’s been reached, and Ed has released the video!

And, what a video!

Obviously, he’ll never top ‘Lego House’ – getting Rupert Grint in that video has made it a classic! (Who happens to live down the road from me – sort of) But this is still brilliant, and actually features Ed a little more than his videos normally do!

So sit back and enjoy Ed, and the cats!

While you’re at it too, check where Ed’s playing on his newly announced Autumn Tour here

Ed Sheeran – Drunk (Rudimental Remix)

Big remix of Ed’s upcoming single, ‘Drunk’, from Rudimental – who’ve done another great job of an Ed Sheeran single, after doing ‘Lego House’ too.

I’ve always imagined it to be a hard job to remix one of Ed’s laid-back, almost fully acoustic tracks, but people seem to be able to do them perfectly – we’ve had this Rudimental one, Gemini’s ‘You Need Me’ remix, Subcape’s ‘Lego House’ one too, plus a load of other brilliant remixes – so can’t wait to hear the others for the ‘Drunk release!’

Have a listen, and if you like what you here, you can follow Rudimental on Twitter here, and you can also download this remix for FREE here
